I suspect that you may be missing the fact that not all of us are speed readers and that there are only so many hours in the day. I like history, but my reviews are more involved with location and individual history, not so much topic history. And yes, I am perhaps more of a reader than a listener, but both methods of learning are important. Have a great day!

I think you need to write some more. I'm getting close to canceling. Love the writing but starting to feel like you aren't taking your subscribers seriously.

Dalio's book is incredibly bad. His analysis is based on an entirely unequal comparison between the US and China

He uses various metrics to argue that US is in terminal decline, but then doesn't even provide, let alone discuss, those same metrics for China. In many cases, those signs of imminent US collapse are.....even worse for China.

I don't know what's going to happen to the US and China's economies and place in the world over the next century. But if China does achieve global domination, it won't be for many of the reasons Dalio claims it will.

Thanks for the suggestions, I cam across your work initially with A Prophecy of Evil: Tolkien, Lewis, and Technocratic Nihilism, which is the most complete and revelatory article I have read in the last 3 years. It opened up so many areas of interest for me, while I have read some of your back catalogue, your suggestions are appreciated, already finding some thought provoking material in Humor and Humanity. Thanks
